One World - One Heart Foundation Build and/or restore schools in local villages. The Langtang region sits in the Himalayan Mountains south of Kathmandu in northern Nepal. It is a narrow valley located about 12 miles south of the Tibetan border. Snowy peaks and the glaciers of the Himalayans surround the valley.
is a 501c3 non-profit organization with the following objectives:
Establish a program to help women and children develop skills that will assist them in finding work to support themselves and their families.
Education in Kathmandu for young children living in isolated regions where an education is not available for them.
Build and/or restore hospitals and health camps in remote regions, providing medical supplies and educating the local villagers on herbs and medicines.
Restoration of the old Gompa’s (places of spiritual worship, monasteries) in the Langtang region of Nepal.
Our immediate objective is to raise $525,000. This will be used to restore several monasteries in the Langtang region, build a school, place 100 young children in a private boarding school, and assist approximately 590 women in the work place.
With donations received to date, we have added a new roof and floor to one monastery and fully restored another monastery including new floors and Buddhist paintings for the interior. We've also sponsored several children in a private school in Kathmandu.
We have been sponsoring a young boy named Sunam since he was 10 yrs old, providing his education in a private school in Kathmandu. Sunam is now 15 yrs old, photo on the right,
in class 6 and going for class 7.
Sangye Karma, an orphan boy, is now 11 yrs old.
The photo on the left was taken when he was 10 and just starting school. The photo on the right is his current photo.
He is in class 4 and going for class 5.
We have a partial sponsorship for him and are in need of more sponsors. His mother is Lakpa Tsomo
and lives in Shybru Bensi. His daddy has passed and
the family is very poor.
We also need additional sponsors for a 7 year old girl.
Her name is Sonam Diki. She is shown in the photo with her little brother. She is on the far left. Her current school photo
is on the right.
She is the daughter of Dorje and lives in Shybru.
Can you Help Us Help Lachin?
We have an urgent request for sponsors to help this little girl.
Her name is Lachin. She is 10 years old and in class 3.
Sponsorships for a child to attend school cost $1600 per year,
and the average child will attend a private school for 4-6 years.
If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please contact us to discuss the options available.
If you don't feel like you can provide a full sponsorship, perhaps you can get a group of friends together to sponsor a child.
